[Artist View] 시간의 덩어리 위에 삶의 조각을 쌓다 : 작가 박한지
한국화를 전공한 후 캔버스 위 아크릴 물감이라는 현대적 매체를 이용하는 작업을 하며 , 다수의 개인전 및 그룹전들과 여러 레지던시 프로그램 및 신진 작가 아트페어들에 참가한 이력의 작가입니다 .
산 위에 지은 집 : 기억의 조각이자 인간의 여정
작가는 캔버스 위에 집들을 빼곡히 채워 넣은 뒤 , 다시 물감을 긁어내고 뜯어내는 치열한 행위를 통해 산의 형태를 드러냅니다 . 이 독특한 점묘법적 마티에르는 부산의 산비탈과 무덤가에 자리했던 피란민들의 집 , 즉 ' 살아낸 시간과 강인한 삶의 흔적 ' 에서 출발했습니다 . 오늘날 그 집들은 더 높이 , 더 많이 올라가려는 인간의 본원적인 ' 욕망 ' 을 투영하는 매개체로 확장됩니다 . 작가에게 산은 사라지지 않고 차곡차곡 쌓인 ' 시간의 덩어리 ' 이며 , 그 위를 빽빽하게 채운 집들은 ' 기억의 조각들 ' 입니다 . 긁어내고 덧입히는 반복적 수행으로 과거와 현재 , 나와 타인의 이야기를 하나의 풍경으로 이어 탐욕으로 흐르지 않는 자신만의 경계를 묵묵히 그려 나갑니다 .
Crazy Flowers: 억눌린 에너지가 터트리는 생명의 울림
작가의 반지하 작업실에서 긴 겨울을 버텨내고 마주한 봄날의 눈부신 광채 . 그 순간의 강렬한 감각이 응축된 에너지로 시작된 것이 바로 'Crazy Flowers' 시리즈입니다 . 작가에게 꽃은 곧 자기 자신입니다 . 스케치 없이 캔버스를 마주한 채 , 아크릴 물감을 손에 쥐고 순간의 직관과 본능이 이끄는 대로 거침없이 선을 긋고 화폭을 채워 나갑니다 . 계획되지 않은 자유로운 드로잉 선과 색의 레이어를 뜯고 긁어내는 과정 에서 , 억눌려 있던 열망과 염원은 강력한 생명력의 원동력이 되어 뻗어 나갑니다 .

Artist Hanji Park, who majored in traditional Korean painting, currently works with the contemporary medium of acrylic on canvas. With a prolific career,
Park has actively participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions, various artist residency programs, and prominent art fairs for emerging talent.
Houses Built on the Mountain: Fragments of Memory and the Human Journey
Park tightly packs the canvas with representations of houses, then engages in an intense, physical process of scraping and tearing away layers of paint to reveal the underlying forms of mountains. This distinctive, pointillistic matière ( texture) originated from the artist’s encounters with the hillside and graveyard dwellings of refugees in Busan—places representing "survived time and the traces of resilient lives." Today, these houses have expanded into mediums that project humanity’s primal desire to climb higher and achieve more. To the artist, a mountain is not a fleeting sight but an "accumulation of time" layered step by step, while the houses that densely occupy it are "fragments of memory." Through repetitive actions of scraping away and reapplying paint, Park weaves together past and present, self and other into a singular landscape, quietly tracing a personal boundary to prevent desire from slipping into greed.
Crazy Flowers: The Vibrant Resonance of Unleashed Energy
The blinding brilliance of a spring day encountered after enduring a long winter in a semi-basement studio—the intense sensations of that exact moment exploded into a surge of condensed energy, marking the beginning of the Crazy Flowers series. To Park, the flower is the self. Facing the canvas without any preliminary sketches, the artist holds acrylic paints and boldly sweeps lines across the surface, guided entirely by immediate intuition and instinct . As layers of unplanned, free-flowing drawing lines and rich colors are torn and scraped away, suppressed desires and longings transform into a powerful life force, radiating in every direction.
