박한지가 표현하는 ‘산의 시 간’은 영원함 속에서도 나이테처럼 작은 흔적의 구획들이 있고, 자연과 인간의 삶이 중첩된 공간인 산도 결국은 평 단위로 주인들이 있고 계속 바뀐다는 점을 통해 시각화된다. 매점에 나열된 음료수 병들을 보며 사람들 같다고 생각했다는 작가의 눈은 옵티컬 아트(Optical Art)나, 안드레아스 구르스 키(Andreas Gursky)처럼 유형적 그리드(Typological Grids)적 취향과 작업 동기로도 작용한다. 이 는 산을 정면인 동시에 평면으로 바라보게 하며, 따라서 집의 일반적 형태가 생략된 구획(section) 혹은 단위(unit)로서의 표현은 그 각각이 ‘집 한 채’일 수도 있지만 그 전체가 ‘집’이라는 개념으로 읽힐 수 있게 하는 추상화(abstraction) 작업이기도 하다. In Han-ji’s work, the "time of the mountain" is visualized through the idea that even timeless nature carries small, measured traces like annual growth rings, and that the mountain—where human life overlaps with nature—is divided into property parcels that change hands over time. Her memory of seeing beverage bottles lined up in a store and feeling they resembled crowds of people reflects an interest in typological grids and Optical Art, much like Andreas Gursky.
This approach allows the mountain to be viewed both frontally and as a flat plane. By omitting literal house shapes and depicting them as modular units or sections, she creates an abstraction where each individual square represents "a house," while the composition as a whole embodies the broader concept of "home."
