"박한지(작가)의 산은 경외의 대상이라기보다는 시간이 중첩된 삶의 터전으로 읽히곤 하며, 그러기를 원하는 것으로 보인다. 산을 모티브로 추상적 자유와 에너지를 만끽한 유영국이나 채색 한국화의 길을 모색한 민경갑 등 수많은 선행 작가들과 굳이 비교하지 않더라도 밝고 경쾌하며 마스킹 테이프로 뜯어내 능선을 마무리하는 박한지의 작업은 오늘날의 젊은 작가임을 스스로 증명하는 듯하다. 그래서 작업 초기 모티브로 소개되곤 하는 감천마을 이야기나 <블루마운틴> 시리즈, 금련산에서 내려다본 광안대교를 위시한 <노란 다리> 등 당시 거주하던 부산 모습 뿐만 아니라, 자동차로 가득한 현대사회를 나타낸 <산과 차> 등 직관적이면서도 점차 정교해지는 과정은 신진작가의 중요한 자산으로 남아 있다" . To artist Park Han-ji, the mountain is less an object of awe than a lived habitat rich with layered time—and she clearly intends for it to be perceived as such. Beyond comparisons to master predecessors like Yoo Young-kuk, who channeled abstract vitality into mountainscapes, or Min Kyoung-kap, who forged new paths in colored Korean painting, Park’s work stands on its own. Her bright, cheerful sensibility and sharp ridgelines finished by peeling masking tape firmly establish her contemporary voice.
Her artistic journey—from Busan-inspired early works like Gamcheon Village, the Blue Mountain series, and Yellow Bridge, to Mountain and Cars, mirroring car-filled modern life—evolves from intuitive expression into sophisticated mastery, serving as a vital foundation for her career.
